Safetygeek1
10% discount for Blue Room Members: BS7909:2011 Temporary Power SeminarLEICESTER DE MONTFORT HALL; 2nd MARCH 2012 PLACES LIMITED - BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT This is a one day course aimed at helping those working with power in the events industry to understand their legal obligations and what the requirements of the IET Wiring Regulations and BS 7909 are. The one day course focuses on how – and why - the IET Wiring regulations and BS 7909 apply to temporary events and looks into why they are relevant and more importantly how to comply. It also shows that current practice is not always best practice, showing where potential dangers exist in a typical event. It will also be of particular use to rental companies as the course gives the delegate a sound understanding of the importance of portable appliance testing. The content is aimed at those with a reasonable appreciation of electrical systems and covers areas such as multiple sources of supply, RCDs, earthing and bonding, inspection and testing as well as the management of temporary electrical infrastructure amongst others. Both those with a technical managerial background as well as technicians will gain from the course. The course will be delivered by a trainer with direct experience of the live events and broadcast industries and who was also directly involved in the creation of BS 7909 and BS 7671. Delegate places cost £195 + vat a reduction on 2011 prices. We can also offer copies of BS7909 at the reduced price of £66. Places can be booked and must be paid in advance by contacting Sygma on 01223 750274 or by e-mailing info@sygmasafety.co.uk.Contact Brian Cleary. Yorkie
How can you book early when it'll be over in 4 days time? (I might find this sort of thing useful with 6-8 weeks notice!)
