Lizfowler
Hi, I have been asked purchase some new earth bondings for a couple of lanterns. You know, the earth bond connecting the lamp house to the fixture. They are quite old and have got quite hot so we need to replace them to replace them. As I have never done this before I wanted to ask whether this is the correct thing to purchase... http://cpc.farnell.com/te-connectivity-amp/353-2859/earth-bonding-strip/dp/CB03247 I'm pretty sure it is but I just want to double check. Don't worry about commenting on how I am inexperienced to be doing such a task! I am fully aware of that, hence the reason I have been asked to look into it, as I am to be trained on general maintenance and repairing such problems. Thanks in advance for your help
Brian
That kind of thing but the ones you linked to are only 0.5mm CSA. In theory an earth bond ought to be able to carry 20A which is a bit much for 0.5mm. Look at CPC part number CB03258 for something chunkier.
