andy jackson
Hi, I'm fairly wet behind the ears with this sort of thing, Obviously aware that when we return in January our radio mics are going to be defunct, we currently have 4 Sennheiser EW100 G2 and 4 Sennheiser ew300. Looking at the transmitters and recievers they say they operate upto 866mhz and 870mhz respectively. In reality is there enough space to squeeze these into the headroom above channel 69 and not be feel the effects of intermodulation? Cheers All Merry Crimbo. Shez
No. You can only legally use between 863.1 and 864.9MHz - we don't get access to the whole of ch.70, just that little slice. You can use 4 G2 systems in there easily, but no more than that.
Simon Lewis
There's some specific information here regarding the dates when channel 69 licences will be issued up to. If you did not have a Channel 69 licence, then you might consider selling your 4 x EW100 and buying either channel 38 gear (with a channel 38 licence) or negotiating four frequency and location specific site licences with JFMG and buy radio gear that tunes to the frequencies specified. J Pearce
If you could cope with 6 the new G3 sennheiser range can fit 6 systems into Ch70.
