rlower Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 The conductor's mic packed up halfway through his speech, was replaced by a technician but the 2nd one was only working on the house system, then they brought a 3rd one out that was working on the house and OB feeds ;) Whoops. All fault free for us over in N. Ireland! http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif
djw1981 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Surely it's the same TV feed from RAH to all parts of UK?

Bobbsy Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Easily done. Mute the channel on the OB console before mic switch and forget to open it. Like other's have said it happens and it happens to everyone could be me or you next time? More likely either a limitation in the size of the multicore splitter or the broadcast console causing them to not have the spares pre-routed. If it was just a matter of having a channel muted, the fix would have faster and easier than another mic swap.
