At the moment I can only see them selling but I am sure there are other suppliers out there. bigclive Posted June 23, 2011 Share Posted June 23, 2011 The cheapest way to get those flickering LEDs is to buy a pack of four LED tealights from a Pound shop. (Poundland sells them.) The first flickering LEDs used melody chips out of cards, so they would actually play jingle bells type tunes if you put a small high impedance speaker across them. I've got a little PCB here that I designed for prop candles, and it does in fact use a standard flickering LED in the base circuit of a transistor to drive a cluster of brighter warm white LEDs.
