strandgsx Posted February 26, 2011 Share Posted February 26, 2011 Hey ho, We eventually added cdj2000s to our rental stocks to keep up with demand.Ive just taken a call from a hirer saying one unit has broken down all of a sudden and the screen has "gone white". KevinE Posted February 27, 2011 Share Posted February 27, 2011 Did it do that before they dropped it as well :huh: I service alot of Pioneer CDJs of all types and I'd say 45% fail because they've been dropped, 45% because they're full of beer and the rest through wear and tear. CDJs rarely fail due to random component failure. Oh..and sometimes they have both been dropped and are full of beer as well. :( But far be it from me to cast nasturtiums... strandgsx Posted February 27, 2011 Author Share Posted February 27, 2011 No change, it will be back at the warehouse on monday to be thoroughly checked but it was working thursday (day of hire start) and continued to work ok untill half way through friday evening, just packed up ive been assured it has not been dropped nor beered. Just a white screen of doom it would seem. We hold a number of cdj 1000s in rental stock from mk1s to mk3s and have never had problems other than replacing the odd tac switch.
