ace
Hi all! It has been a while since I posted but I am back! What I am after is a cheap solution to the following problem! - I need to connect 3 headsets with both headphones and a microphone to a laptop. So I need some form of mixer that will combine the sound in and out down to two jacks. Is there an easy solution? Many thanks, Chris
Freddie
If don't need them at different levels, you could probably use a couple of 2-into-1 3.5mm adapters, Stereo for phones, mono for mics obviously
Andrew C
Personally, I'd be inclined to go for a small mixer for the mics. Folio Notepad or similar would do fine. Then 2x 1/4" jack to 1x 3.5mm jack into the laptop. Three headphones out ought to be all right in parallel, but I've not tried it. You may be better off going out via the mixer possibly using a variety of the outputs to give you independent volume control.
Jivemaster
600ohm phones ok32ohm ???3 x 8ohm in parallel (2.6ohm) puts the on board audio driver at risk. Mics - cheap mixers start at £10 all depends on the quality you need.
