benweblight
has anyone ever used a sennheiser e840 (or other low end evolution mics)? can you give me some opinions of it please? how well does it bear up live? http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/prodImages/e840_sm.jpg
Brian
I've got some 845s. Nicely made, good solid mic. Clips are crap but aren't they all. Sound is good, works well on both male and female vocals, nothing too harsh.
benweblight
cheers, brian, anyone else? also, after getting that mic for vocals what should be on my list (£70 max), an sm57? considering I want to use it for live work a bit of recording aswell
paulears
concur with the comments so far. solid, chunky great if you don't like the SM58 sound. the 845 is my favourite - great if you are having feedback issues - not very hyper-cardioid, but useful. Goes 'thin' off axis, quite quickly. Tops for value for money.p
