silicuda
I am in need of a line-out splitter solution, here is why. I got a DJM-600 mixer. It has the line out (record out) channel, I need a solution I can plug in there that will split the line out so I can run it into different devices. Devices being 1. Computer visualization software2. DMX Controller board3. Laser Computer controller Will a simple device like a Line-Out RCA audio splitter work? I found one on ebay for like 20 bucks and it seems like it will do the trick. Thoughts? Pete Alcock
Dear Silicuda, You'll be able to split each Left and Right output from your mixer by using a "Y" splitter (one RCA plug to two RCA sockets). Radio Shack in the US have these, or you could make up a simple Y cable with some screened cable and three RCA plugs (we call them phonos in the UK). Get big bodied plugs so that you can get two cables into one of them. As a general rule it's OK to feed an mixer output into several inputs of other equipment. You wouldn't normally do this with a mic or guitar though. Trust this helps. Pete.
Brian
At the simplest level you can get away with paralleling the devices you are feeding. With luck you won't get any hum.
