claire.ilett
I was wandering if anyone is able to help me. I am currently looking into postgrad training. I notice that Mountview offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Technical Theatre, but have been unable to find out the fees for this course, as the website does not seem to detail these. I am waiting on replies to an email and a telephone enquiry, but would be grateful if anyone who knows this information could pass it on, as I need to know before Wednesday. Thanks in advance.Claire. Jivemaster
With FE and HE funding in serious flux at the moment, only the particular establishment can tell you -IF they know yet- what the fees will be at your proposed start date. IF there is a second year to the course, you could get a nasty surprise when the fees for that year become due.
Claire
Oh yeeeeah! Just had a look cos they were defo there when I applied last year... not there now though! This year, it's about £5700 for the one year PG tech theatre course. I'm on the course now and it is the best thing I have ever done. Personal experience of course- but it works for me! Thanks for replying! Can I ask what you are specialising in, and what your experience was prior to starting the course (if you don't mind)? It's always good to hear where others have come from! I'm looking to specialise in stage management and am in my final year of a joint honors degree in musical theatre and technical theatre (with much more emphasis on the tech side). Generally speaking, course fees will not change from one year to the next, but rather change for each enrolment.
Claire
Yep and there isn't a second year- it's a one year postgrad. However, that's not to say that the fees next year might be a lot different to this year, I just don't know!
