Macrame dress!

Help! :P I need to make a Macrame dress for a production of Woman in Mind. I don't suppose anyone has one from a past production lurking in a prop cupboard anywhere. Long shot I know but thought I'd give it a go as my string knotting skills are not up to much. Sadly it doesn't have to be worn so I can't palm it off on wardrobe! All advice gratefully received. Wardrobe won't make it bacuse it's not going to be worn? Even though it's a dress? Sounds a bit jobsworth to me...

It might be worth having a trawl around a few charity shops for something that would fit the bill and maybe combine some old garments to make a new one.

 

Don't forget: you only have to create the illusion of a macrame dress, not the real thing and at a real pinch you could possibly blag it with a string vest, some fishing net, and a few sparkly beads, especially if it doesn't actually have to be worn ;)
