adam2 Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 If money is tight, I would consider something based on vehicle lighting.Various suppliers sell after market spotlights intended for fitting to vehicles, some are fitted with 12 volt 140 watt lamps (the smaller ones are 55 watt)Although marked 12 volts, these are actually designed for about 13.5/14 volts, and should be run at the full voltage for best results.The light may be increased by SLIGHTLY over running the lamps, perhaps at 15 volts.Replacement lamps are cheap.
