Pulsar 96

The 96 is the smaller version of the 216 that I use and for bands, they are great desks.

The desk is set out like a keyboard so you can have various lights on various keys. Remember the 96 refers to DMX channels, so this desk is good for fixtures with less DMX attributes (parcans, LED pars, DJ scans etc)

While not knowing the exact figures, I suspect that Pulsar haven't sold lots of MP96 desks; the more capable MP108, however, is frequently available on Ebay, expect to pay no more than £300 for a good one; if the key pads are rectangular rather than 6-sided ("coffin-shaped") then it's an earlier desk and worth much less, which doesn't stop some people asking silly prices for them! Unlike the MP96, the MP108 has a DMX patch function, that lets you map each of the desk's 108 control channels to one or more DMX channels, making it much more versatile.

All Masterpiece desks take some effort to learn as they are notoriously non-intuitive; reading the manual is a good start - See the Blue Room Wiki for more information - click here
