oaksld
One of my Mac 250 Entours reads hot shortly after being lamped on. It will shut down and then come back on sometimes in a couple of second, sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes not at all. We have swapped out "EVERYTHING" but it still does it. We replaced temp sensor, light sensor, ignitor, ballast, pc board, fan, thermal switch, lamp, capacitor.......... everything!!! Any ideas? It doesn't matter if it is lamped on manually or through the console.
Ynot
I seem to recall I had this on a hire unit - and I think it was the lamp housing microswitch that was at fault, though don't quote me...When the lamp got (as normal) hot, it was enough to cause the metal in the microswitch to warp just a tad, and thus shut the lamp off....It was resolved by judicious tweaking of said switch components... law99
Have you checked the loom? Also dont forget there is a thermal sensor in the base, if this is faulty it could be causing the HOT error.
