Gerry
I'm designing the set and lighting for an amateur pantomime production.total budget €800.The stage is small, no wing space or flying facilities.Contemplating fixed wings covered with silver slash curtains, each one downlighted with a stairville LED par 56. This will allow me to change colours for different scenes,Just wondering, as I have never tried it, if this will be effective and not distracting from the action on stage?Any thoughts/comments/ suggestions? Just Some Bloke
It will be fine as long as you keep the changes to between scenes at first. By the time you hit the finale you can chase those LED Pars through their colours to your heart's content: it can never be too distracting for a panto finale! musht
Mirror dosen`t take colour too well.... Something textured, swagged silver drapes look great, think cinema tabs, lit obliquely with light from above and below take colour better and allow a few combinations, even an `artexed` panel can look nice.
