Hiring UV - UK

Nutcracker

Hi All

For a halloween themed event I'm looking to hire (or buy if cheap enough) 10 UV fixtures to light 10 x 10 metre long black tunnels

The tunnels are 3m high, 3m wide

I only have experience of using UV Cannons but I'm happy to give UV LED a try if its good enough for the job.

Can anyone suggest a hire company with large stocks of UV that can supply? Midlands based would be ideal.

Thanks for any help given.

UV Fluorescent tubes are perfect for this application, and they're pretty cheap.

The tubes can be fitted to standard florry fittings, so you have a wide choice of styles depending on the environment they'll be in.

(Degree of physical and ingress protection and the like)

It's also worth mentioning that unless your tunnel has significant headroom you're not going to get enough spread from the cannons to cover the length. Plus there might be issues with them being too close to the punters. Tubes are altogether a better solution for this kind of situation.

13.50 Incl VAT each for 5+ 2Ft BLB and fitting

UV cannons create a sun burn hazard, an explosion risk and will cast serious shadows down a tunnel.

Or some festering toon and a pile of these , which are actually pretty good , 5.26 for 10 +

UV LED is good for its strobe possibilities and instant on for suprise reveals but not cost effective for large areas.

I tried UV LED, too much visible light if you are looking at them, not to bad if you are lighting upstage with them.

If you can stand the warm up time cannons are good but the uniformity of tubes are best if the throw distance is not too great
