Mark Payne
Gonna Agree with all Dan....Send to a female. Dont run it backward.Use 2.5mm and mark it up well. We worried about this for a while but decided to go with the standard flow. As Simon says if you put a male on the truss you run a risk of dimmers to amps.... nice! dosxuk
Running the soca in the correct way is no different to running hot & dimmed power over soca for the lampies. If they plug it up wrong they can blow up their expensive moving lights, so all soca should be labelled up so nobody can make a mistake.
dougjm
If it is a real worry about connecting sound soca and lighting soca by mistake don't use soca connectors, use PA-CON 19 pole connectors that use a bayonet locking ring which won't mate with soca and will scare lampies away.
