scjb
In Celtic Tiger Flatley was actually dancing behind a flamebar that was only positioned in front of him. The pyro was fired from behind him. There's no real need to completely surround a dancer and it makes the paperwork a lot easier!

Jivemaster
It's really easy and effective and safe to do if you are skilled and experienced and have the tools, but if you are not then please consider getting a suitably competent company in to do the job. Not all flame companies do pyro and vice versa!
