Mark_UniLeeds
Although I've spent a year trying to upgrade all of my small scale smokers from these to the slightly newer 650s I don't have the budget for this last one and it has just started playing up. I think I've nailed the problem but wanted a little re-assurance. The unit powers up but the element doesn't heat up and subsequently the pump therefore doesn't engage. I contacted Martin direct who sent me the circuit diagram for the unit and I think that the thermal fuse has given up the ghost, it doesn't seem to be metering anything at all (neither when the switch is depressed or otherwise). Are there any other things that really can go wrong (it's such a simple unit) or does this sound like a logical fault. Cheers
Matt Cowles
You should have more confidence in your own abilities, if the thermal fuse doesn't give continuity that will be your problem, it is a very cheap part to replace.
