DBH
Is there a decent on-line site for set design symbols etc? For use in tutoring students.
Tom
I'm not quite sure what you mean by set design symbols but assuming you are talking about CAD you may find something on the CAD4THEATRE site.
David Ripley
DBH No staging stuff I'm afraid only LX on the cad4theatre site What are you after? Most standards units, rostra etc are easy enough to draw up being a bunch of rectangles. Are you looking for 2d or 3D symbols, of what and in what format? If you want me to add some to the website I can but not any time soon If you are just looking for info on how to draw I reccomend John Blurton's book Scenery:Design and Construction which has all the info you'll need David
Tom
David,You do your self down by not plugging the ABTT CAD Standards to be found on your web site. Though not actually symbols they offer good guidelines on how to layout a drawing (line types and weights and positioning of labels etc) whether working with a CAD package or pen and paper. David Ripley
Good point Tom Thanks for highlighting the Standards As for using pen and paper, there is a non CAD version of the Standards which I created for use at RSAMD If anyone would like them, let me know Perhaps I'll get round to putting them on the site one of these days David
