Jon Crowther 42
What kind of tape would be used to make a split gel for a Strand SL (with Gobo)? And where can I purchase this? Thanks, Jon Crowther
mac.calder
Regular cellotape purchasable from your local stationary supplier... Be warned that it will smoulder for a little while, until it melts into place. You can buy propper "scroller" tape from your local lighting supplier, used for taping up gelstrings for scrollers, but regular cellotape does the job. Bryson
Technically you should use scroller tape, but regular scotch tape works fine.
dbuckley
but regular scotch tape works fine. Not one, but two North Americanism's in half a sentence. Impressive! You are going native, of that there is little doubt ;)

StNic54
scotch tape - you don't need to go to great lengths for variegated, split gels - they will burn out by the time you've spent money and effort to get scroller tape.
