Chamsys / LED par 64

Hi,

 

I am currently programming a chamsys pc wing for a show tomorrow and am having difficulty with some of the un branded LED par 64 cans

 

The cans say on the side of them

 

LED PAR64S RGB DMX

 

they have 6 channels

 

with 8 dip switched and a switch from auto to music

 

any idea what I can do to get them working via DMX ? Maybe another fixture with the same profile ?

Program the fixture as 6 generic dimmers. Go through each channel and see what happens.

 

These things are usually something like 1) effects 2)R 3)G 4)B 5) dimmer 6)speed, but this varies on manufacturer.

I have solved it if any one ever has the same problem again,

 

I programmed it as a show tec par 64 can and edited the channels from 4 to 6 on the (edit head) option

 

But you must edit it before you patch it other wise it will not work also dont pay attention to the DIP switch on the screen as they are for 9 not 8 !

But 1 through 8 will be correct...and on your fixture you can't patch above 128 anyway.

 

Or is there another reason why you say to ignore the on screen DIP display?
