Guest lightnix
That's a real shame, they were one of the oldest companies in the business. I never worked for them myself, but ran into their crews on a few occasions and they were always nice people. I know they were bought out a couple of years ago and it seems that their owners are in liquidation, too. Commiserations to all affected by this
Pete McCrea
We were down in the Bristol Branch saying hello not that long ago, and all seemed well. But hey I guess they aren't going to let things become obvious. And indeed they may not have known. My sympathies are with all concerned.
Stuart91
And indeed they may not have known. Often, the first hint that the "rank and file" staff have that all isn't well is when they turn up to work one morning and find that the administrators have changed the locks... MarkA74
And to think that I was going to send them my CV as I'm looking for a new employer after being made redundant! Hope all the guys (and girls) find themselves new roles soon.
p.k.roberts
And yet more bad news; I've just read that the Arbiter Group went into administration last week ....
slim_mcslim
is this a case of the company becoming unsustainable opposed to being run badly? whereby not all the branches were contributing enough to cover their overheads? and is this thing liable to happen to people with a number of branches? just curious, not speculating.... MarkA74
Who knows! I've been told that the Quadrant office in Birmingham either has already or is going to close. Looks like they are moving everything back to their Nottingham base.

MarkA74
Indeprod was the company that tookover Edric either last year or the year before, so looks like the whole group has gone under. Expomedia don't have anything listed on their website to announce the appointment of administrators, infact they still have events listed in their diary! The world of corporate AV is not a happy place to be at present!
Pete McCrea
We called the Administrators to see what's going on with Edric. They were looking for buyers for the whole group, but I don't know how that went. Having a look on companies house, other companies linked with Indeprod are still listed as trading, but Edric and Indeprod are definitely listed as in administration. Corporate av is not a place to be moving into. However, if you have a good business mix, and have kept your investment up, and debt low, it's survivable. basilbrush1982
I used to work for Edric (I was there 2 weeks!). We were doing well (mega busy) but unfortunately Indeprod went down and took us with them. No one including my bosses saw it coming because it wasnt us that were up the creek! Apparently there were several offers for the whole of Edric but they were turned down in favour of selling stuff off individually! So thats the crack and we're left without jobs.
