lxluke Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I have found a few intresting and useful tools on the internet that could help you out! http://leonaudio.biz/pwheel.pdf - Gives you a handy wheel to enable you to easily work out Ohm's Law and Power Law! http://leonaudio.biz/res-code.gif - Another resistor color code chart. You've probably seen this a thousand times but it is still handy! More To Come!
Ynot Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Hi.And welcome to the Blue Room. However, like most with even a basic education in electronic theory, all I need to know is V=IR and P=IV and I can work out ANY of the values or equations I need with little sweat being broken. And the resistor colour code just needs one of the many memory joggers (that have already been listed here before) to again work out the values without need to resort to crib sheets. :** laughs out loud **: However, maybe the younger generation aren't as fortunate to have had that basic education, I suppose....
matt c Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 V=IR and P=IV and I can work out ANY of the values or equations I need with little sweat being broken. Let's not forget Xc=1/(2(pi)fC and Xl=2(pi)fL and the impedance triangle. Very important for power factor correction, crossover networks and all sorts of AC things. :** laughs out loud **: Matt
