uhhehhahh
I know there are certain lamps that you are not suppose to touch with your hands, is it HID lamps, halogen lamps, xenon lamps?
david.elsbury
All of the above. Basically everything except PAR lamps and MR16/GU10 lamps. If in doubt, wipe off with some alcohol anyway.
jamienip
As a general rule, not directly touching any lamp is good practise. Your hands/fingers are a good source of grease, which expands, contracts, heats, cools, at different rates to glass, causing weakness and the inevitable explosion. Xenon lamps are under extreme pressures, and you should have plenty of PPE on before even looking at the things!! If in doubt, dont touch it!
