ace
Hiya! I am just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction! I am a student who will be (hopefully) returning to University after the summer to start a PhD. I have just been let down by the company I was going to spend the summer working with and so I am looking for an opportunity and a challenge for about 4 months over the Summer. I have experience in theatre lighting and sound as well as some video and TV.. Any ideas where I should look? Thanks!
Bryson
It's not for as long as you'd like, and the pay isn't good (cue long, boring discussion on minumum wage) but I can recommend the Edinburgh festival if you like a "challenge." I worked at one for several years in a row while a student (Southside and associated venues, fact fans) and I loved it...kind of. The last year nearly killed me, mind...anyway, enough of the hard sell, click the link: Link to Post about C Venues
ace
Thanks for the advice! That is an opportunity that I would die for - however I have already sent them my application and had absolutely no response! :D

Stu
Hence why I put 'lurker' in the quote markers, as it's meant as a bit of a joke! Stu
