Paul S
Hi Does anyone know when Strand stopped producing Permus racks? I have a couple that were installed in 1991 and I am trying to ascertain whether they were a second-hand purchase as '91 seems quite late to me. The serial #s are: 0377 & 0598. Cheers for any info. Ynot
Well, our (still running) Permus was delivered by Strand in summer 1990.

Or to be pedantic, still supplied them later than you thought, if not selling well they might have been in factory stock for years.

The Gaffa
According to the Strand Archive the Permus was a development of the Tempus dimmers which were intoduced circa 1978, I belive that it was just before 1993?? that Strand withdrew them from sale. Kazeja
Look for any "tested" labels on the module(s) or rack(s) or any 7 digit codes within the rack. The last digit is supposed to be year of manufacture/test. Are there 3 digits after the serial number, if so, this will be the date code.
