myf Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Can anyone help me with finding some of the props needed for Outside Edge, by Richard Harris? Set 1979 in a cricket pavilion. Think the hardest things to find will be suitable newspapers (including a copy of the Socialist Worker) and a payphone. Also need suitable cigarette packets (without "SMOKING KILLS" warnings on!). If anyone can suggest places that hire these sort of things out, or you happen to have such items we could borrow, I'd be really grateful for any help!!
peter Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Okay, newspaper and cigarette packets are very easy paper props to make - just order a back issue of the newspaper from the British Library (go and collect it if you can - they charge £12 to deliver!) and do a google for images of whatever brand of cigarette packet you need. Scan/redraw these in photoshop (or similar) and print out onto appropriate paper / card. If you don't have access to a large format printer, try a local CAD agency or print shop. Payphone - assuming you've tried your local prop hire people, what about contacting BT for help?
Jivemaster Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 A & M hire, The Royals, London. They're by Hangar Lane and seem to have most things,
