Ben Langfeld
Of course this is all very different if someone is employed to deal specifically with this kind of thing - and I don't mean a chemistry lab tech who plays in a band, I mean a proper technician suitable for the job. Phew! I'm glad I'm a science lab technician who doesn't play in a band. Apologies John - I certainly didn't intend to offend you or anyone else on the board, but as I see it people like yourself are in the minority unfortunately. Sure, there's a few science lab technicians who are probably more capable than most when it comes to theatre stuff, but the vast majority it seems wouldn't know a jack from an XLR - at least that's my experience. I certainly didn't mean that science lab techs were not capable of this kind of work, just that most are not interested and/or have no experience of theatre work. Perhaps my post was a tad flippant; apologies again.
