Neil Hampson
We stock both the Control1 Extreme from JBL Consumer and the Control1 Pro from JBL Pro. Below are links to the PDF manual/spec sheets. The Control 1 Extreme are 50W (continuous) 8R and the Control1 Pro are 150W (continuous) 4R, both feature a 5 1/4" driver with the Extreme having a 1/2" tweeter and the Pro featuring a 3/4" tweeter. Control1 Extreme Spec Control1 Pro Spec Sorry to pick on CPC, but as the information fell into my lap...On looking at the CPC website as a typical example it's easy to see where the confusion arises between the Pro and consumer ranges. if you search for the JBL control one and look at the data on the website, the descrition of the speaker seems to be a mixture of the two models, the 'Further information' tab show even more conflicting data, again referencing 135mm drivers in an 8ohm unit. where as the JBL datasheet states that it's a 100mm driver, unfortunatly we don't get a frequency responce from the standard, consumer model. Just a further question is the Control one 'Extreme the same as the control one (consumer) as the CPC website or JBL datasheets do not mention 'extereme' at allI couldn't find the Pro version on the CPC site
