Mush Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Reiche & Vogel beam lights: http://www.revolux.com/Englisch/NV_Parabol/NV_Parabol.html More power http://www.searchlight.ie At a bit lower cost projecting a gobo on to a mirrorball will actually project the whole image from each facet, not as you`d first guess fragments of the image.
vinny baby Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 you could try and hire the following products. Both of these products are very effective and would be ideal for the effect your trying to create. they give off a very narrow, superbright laser like, beam. ASTRORAGGI POWER Atlas Vince ps, dont know who would hire them out, but someone on the forum should be able to advise further
nickb12345 Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 What about something like the Smart Beam systems (we got ours from terralec I think) They make 6 focused beems of light which flash randomly. You can master/slave upto 4 units (1 master and 3 slaves) together. Only problem is they lack control (you can only turn them on and off (from a 3 pin XLR remoe)) Nick
Ellis Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 A profile with a suitable breakup such as DHA 99078, when combined with haze will produce numerous narrow shafts of light. An animation disk on the front will obscure some of the shafts making them appear and disappear. Rotate the gobo as well and you should get a very interesting pseudorandom effect.
