yeah I have seen this company before but never had replies to my emails. If I remeber correctly their website used to say they have been at PLASA.

They were at PLASA in 2002 according to the website, which doesn't appear to have been updated since 2003. Incidentally, I can't find them on this year's PLASA list, so are they still active?

I may be wrong, but I think this is Martin Blake's "new" venture. If so, it has been a long time in the making.

Blake was the guy behind the original Pyroflash system. I believe there was a Blake's Pyro for a while, after he left LM, which sold compatible product. He is also I/c "The Effects Company" who make smoke machines, low-smoke convertors and the DMX controlled CO2 heads, amongst other things. These are very well engineered products. He has a unique approach to customer service.

I'm sure there will be others here with more up-to-date info.

hi all I have just received a e-mail from one stuart vaughan saying that he will send a catalog out but the new factory is still not ready yet and is going to let me know soon when it will open (I hope I get invited to the opening)

Hi,

I know both Martin Blake and Stuart Vaughan. We (www.carshaltonpanto.co.uk) have been beta-ing the control system for a couple of years now - it's pretty good.

We're going to use the moving head C02 unit (CoJet) in our January production..

I believe the problem with the consumables has been partly due to the licensing process - it's tough to set up explosive factories these days!

  • 2 years later...

They have never actually made any product so no one has seen it. The chap behind it is Martin Blake who was the guy that invented the Le Maitre Pyroflash system.

Apparently they have had some money issues but the project is still happening, just very very slowly!
