James
But building your own equipment is not the cheapest option have a look at this. http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc/product.asp...uct%5Fid=272238 They have a 4 channel Dimming pack for £80. Paul http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc_images/cpc2004/size3/DP27503-01.jpg Has anyone had any experiance with this pack? It looks like it would slide on a T bar easy enough but has anyone had any success with a fixed bar or truss? James
Wilf dLampy
Yes we have a couple of them, and the switch version as well. There is an M10 hole in the top (not visible on the picture) which allows easy connection of a standard g-clamp, or half scaff clamp (or indeed anything else you can put an M10 bolt in ) They're exceedingly useful and we haven't had any problems. Be aware the XLR connectors (on ours at least) are 3-pin, so you will need some standard adapters to connect into a standard 5-pin XLR circuit. johnb
On the basis of cheaper small dimmers, has anyone any experience of the following: http://cpc.farnell.com/productimages/cpc/standard/8803215.jpgDimmer Rack from CPC At £55 (ex VAT) it is the cheapest dimmers I have seen, and with both DMX and analogue control almost seems too good to be true, hence looking to see if anyone has tried them.
