almellor
I have used this one successfully That's an audio isolator. The OP is asking for a video isolator.... Apologies - my mistake. I appreciate the feedback, though - I've not encountered video isolators before. It's good to find out about them. The 'success' I referred to was fixing a more basic, ground loop induced audio hum from a laptop video source, and not having any DI boxes spare. peternewman
http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/displayProduct.jsp?sku=AV07162Any chance you could enlighten us as to the pixie dust inside these that gives them the high prices Chris (or indeed anyone else)? :) Presumably it's just a high spec transformer of some sort, with an even frequency response up to high frequencies? Mainly curious more than anything else, although the CPC ones do seem cheaper than elsewhere.
Chris Beesley
Good question :) Video is not my area of expertise so I will ask my colleagues here....The item I linked to has not been discontinued :) and we have sourced an alternative and it will be significantly cheaper (circa £12.95+vat). Stock is being shipped from China so it will be 6 weeks before we have any available. Here is the spec on our sister companies website over in the US http://www.mcminone.com/product.asp?product_id=33-6927 This link appears to explain a lot.... http://www.epanorama.net/documents/groundl..._isolation.html
