New Fixtures in Hog

Can someone tell me where I can find more information on writing fixture files for HogII/PC? I understand what the manual says, but I need an example to show me how to lay the txt file out.

Does this fixture then stay in the Hog main library, or is it just attached to the current show?

Regards

Oli

Oli,

Please see below for the layout of the text file for Hog libraries. THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE FILE PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT IT TO WORK.

Please bear in mind that if you are using Echelon, Hog 500, Hog 1000 Hog II then these libraries are on the software disk as ROM files, you cannot edit these files. You can add to the library however there is a specific way of doing this but for some reason I have no option to put in an attachment, (NOTE THIS WOULD BE A VERY USEFUL COMMODITY ADMIN PEOPLE....) so I can send you a pdf file off forum if you need it.

Regards

Andy..

Feel free to ask me any questions you have on the layout or the format.

If there is a fixture you need and is not in the library then please contact me at and I will help you all I can.

On the second issue of if it stays with the main library then the answer is no.

If you start a new show then you will have to add this back in.

Hope this helps

Kind regards

Attatchments are a feature of V2.0 of the Invision software, which we should be changing to when there is a stable version released. I'm not sure if we will be able to use it though - the bandwidth demands it makes may be a problem

Thanks for getting back on that Bryson..

By the way, and off topic, have you been out to the Sun Princess yet. My wifes about to go out to the Coral Princess as a programmer/operator in the Princess Theatre. I spent 5 years with Princess, including taking out the Grand Princess.. Fun Fun Fun....
