Trunker
Hi, One of the 'ears' off one of my Strand Quartets' have been snapped off. Is this the end for it, or can it be repaired safely? Matt
adamharman
I take it you mean those nasty little bits of cast alloy that you have to bend in order to get the thing apart to repair the even nastier earth bonding? That has to be one of the worst bits of design I've seen. I've repaired one by screwing a strip of aluminum over the top of it with a screw into the centre of the lump on the other half to act as a pivot. Bit of black paint and it looks ok from 20ft below.....
Trunker
Cheers for that will give it to the construction department to have a look at. Yes I agree, really bad design. The Harmony design was better, shame about the light output on them though.............
