PhilipLunar
Hi Do you have a spae bulb? iif so try putting it in the fixture and see if this sorts the problem. Hope this helps Phil
niclights
/edit: I wrote stuff about heat sensor, but decided I was wrong. Checked manual and "HEAT" does simply mean unit is waiting for lamp to cool for restrike. There is a maximum restrike attempt of 7 before error. As Phil says it sounds like a dead lamp. TaylorDon
ok, so would this diode be near the lamp or fan?
niclights
Sorry, edited my post while you typed. But for reference (or to add to the confusion...), sensors are always near lamp.
TaylorDon
I changed the lamp (to an older one that worked but was a little dull) and have the same issue.
son of lx dad
so at a guess there is a fault in the heat sensor in the lamp housing, it has failed in closed circuit so the unit thinks it is over temp constantly. If you know how bypass the temp sensor and see if this solves the problem, either way you will need some servicing done that probably envolves getting a new part. TaylorDon
Yeah, we've determined it is the heat sensor. Does anyone know a part number or a way to get one quick? My Distributor probably isn't open till Tuesday due to the holiday.
