Sennheiser 300 series radio microphones - frequencies

Just wondering if the Sennheiser 300 series radio mic's can be used with other frequencies other than those found in channel 69/70. I wish to use more than 14 microphones simultaneously and am unsure if they work with other channels like the higher end 3000/5000 models. Cheers.

I think you'd need to set the limits to 830.1 and 864.9 to avoid straying out of those bands. Or up to 862.9 to steer clear of ch.70 would be even better.

Would I be able to run 20 of the 300 series (type E) together intermod free? Thanks.

Apparently not. Although that is a lot of hand held radio Mic's, can I ask why you want 20?

Not hand-held radio mic's, body-pack transmitters, need 20 UHF along with 8 VHF for a musical.

According to the Sennheiser evolution series frequency chart, bank 1 has 20 frequencies. Although it seems that only the first 8 are pre-programmed into the 300 series so I presume I would have to put them in the user bank on each tx/rx? So it may be possible to get 20?

Anybody know if any of the above is possible? Thanks.

Yes, all quite possible. Done it quite a few times.

The user bank will store 8 frequencies on the 300 range. A lot of the preset frequencies do not tie up with the preferred sets with only one of the banks (6 I think) having the channel 69 frequencies already set. Retune the user bank presets to your new set of frequencies.

However, the frequencies given above by Dunk don't look like the ones I've used previously but I would need to get my charts out in the office to check.

I'd be inclined to try to use as many of the ch.69 frequencies as possible with the remainder drawn from 67 & 68. Unless you have a decent budget for licencing 20 coordinated freqs of course. In which case, bank one is probably your best bet - there are 20 intermod free frequencies in there. Refer to the "additional information" bit of paper that came with the mics for those beyond the eight that are preset in the 300 series.
