Gobo projection onto pavement

My venue doesn't really have much in the way of frontage to give us away to passing potential audience members. I've been mulling over the possibility of using projection (some sort of simple text gobo) from inside the building onto the pavement below.

 

Has anyone got any idea on whether or not we'd be needing to look at contacting the local planning authority about this sort of thing? It would only be on a temporary basis, a few hours in the evening (when it's dark enough), four or five weeks a year.

I wouldn't have thought this to be a problem but speak to the council in the first instance anyway.

 

However, I have always thought that projections onto pavements are a bit of a waste as they are quite often difficult to see - esp if there are a lot of people passing. Now a handy wall...
