JohnPartridge
Just to add my name to the list, I got my letter of confirmation 2weeks ago now that I got in. Very excited and I am looking forward to meeting lots of new people, and some fellow blue-room members. PM me if you want to chat before we meet up. iamchristuffin
I've just had a thought about the Training Lessons (9th Juy-20th July). Where are they, when do they start, etc? I realise that nyt will tell me this later on, but I need to organise my holiday until then, as there are already 5 parties in the 3 days between 6th July and 9th July!! Thanks

Nickwoolley
I would imagine you will be staying at Tufnell court halls of residence. That's where we normally stay. If my memory recalls correctly you don't go to NYT on Holloway road until the Monday morning. Good luck!
Jon T
Yes give NYT a ring. Tufnell PARK, is not their anymore as it got demolished earlier this year. so best to get intouch with them personally, same with any other issues, theyr more likely to have answers. Dj Dunc
Eat tonnes of humble pie. and always relate the lx/sfx to something e.g the action onstage, or a line of text or whatever so: I used the sound of a X BECAUSE in the play Y mentions Z1 / does Z2 and have lots of photos and programmes as evidence
iamchristuffin
I didn't get asked anything like that, he just looked through my portfolio, asked me a couple of questions about what process I go through to design the sound for a show, askd about the last show I did, and that sort of thing! Dazzler
The best way to get into the NYT is to go along to the interview with some examples of your work, and show it off. They aren't looking for people who can name every single sound or Lx board ever invented, they are looking for people who are enthusiastic, and give off a desire to come along in the summer, work (and play) really hard, and go away having had a good time, and having a learnt a lot about how a production is put on. If you would like anymore info, then PM me, and I'll get back to you in the next few weeks. Dazzler
