Chris Beesley
Normally for PC/Laptop to a mixing console most people will use this type of lead... (link for reference only - some may prefer a higher quality for day-today use) http://cpc.farnell.com/productimages/cpc/standard/6926065.jpg
Bobbsy
It's worth mentioning that, rather than adaptor cables and unbalanced sources, it's quite possible to find a computer audio interface with proper balanced outputs for well under the £100 mark. Just as one example, an M-Audio 192 can easily be found for about £85 (and with careful shopping you can do rather better). There are plenty of others too.
