Kdecamo
 Hey,Does anyone know of any adhesives that are flame retardant and can safely be within three inches of an open flame? I'm making a working model of a fireplace and am in a bind. Thanks,Kat
Ekij
Nails?Staples? Can you give a little more detail as to what you are trying to attach, what you are trying to attach it to and just how hot it is likely to get?
Kdecamo
I'm trying to attach thin sheets of stainless steel to the inside of a 6 inch model. The model itself is made out of metal fabric (a copper mesh). I'm looking for a glue-type adhesive.

Is the model of a working stage set...?Your profile shows you're studying tech theatre, but I'd be VERY surprised to see real flames in a fireplace on stage.....Is this theoretical?? Ekij
Metal to Metal braze or weld. However I agree that if it's a model why do you need a real flame?
wycome5
Not quite sure if it is suitable but comes under 'FLame Retardent Adhesives' but what about Gaf-Fire by Le Mark (flame retardent gaffa)?
