lee weathers
one of my goldenscans keeps blowing fuses when the lamp goes to strike - when the cover is off and the lamp is not in circuit then the unit runs fine - -any thoughts? is the power fuse in the unit ten amp?? thanks
johnhuson
Not sure what the correct rating fues should be as I don't have that information to hand. However if it's blowing the fuse when the lamp strikes I would suggest that it's a fault in your lamp circuit some where. Could be a multitude of things but without having the fixture in front of me it's difficult to tell. If your not experienced in fault finding moving lights I would highly recommend that if you do try to have a go at fault finding (not that I would advise it) then you proceed with great caution as there are some quite serious voltages involved when it comes to discharge lamp circuits. james jag
gold scan hpe's having a 16amp fuse, and when there cap's(cap's=power factor correction) start to go they can pull up to 20 amps, the cover has a switch to cut the lamp out when opened, the high voltage wiring could be at fault
