Lena
Hello, I am trying to track down a copy a recording of the original show of 'Blues in the Night'. It opened in the Rialto theatre, Broadway, June 2nd 1983, (this is to the best of my knowledge anyway). We have the recording of the London show at the Donmar, but this has 4 songs missing from the original stage show and it is these 4 songs we need. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Broadway show? Does it exist? Any help gratefully recieved, ta,Selena
Tom
Amazon are usually pretty good for that sort of thing - including imports.
Lena
hello again, Yes I have tried all the obvious web sites like amazon. I spent over an hour searching. The post on here was a last resort. I have come to the conclusion that if it ever did it exist, it isn't available now. It just seemed odd that there wouldn't be a recording of it. gareth
Try 'Dress Circle', in Monmouth Street near Leicester Square. They have a web site here.
Suzette
You could also try First Night Records - I think they have a recording of it, but not sure what version. But they will probably know where you can get it from. First Night Records3, Warren MewsLondonW1T 6AN020 7383 7767
