scarr
We're looking at using a revolving stage from The Revolving Stage Company and just wondered if anyone had any experience of their stuff, good or bad. Anyone know if you can control them using DMX rather than a seperate control box?
djw1981
I would imagine not for the oft repeated reason that DMX should not be used for safety critical applications. However this would not be the first time I was wrong.
scarr
Yes, I have now recieved a reply from them on this and you can control DMX lighting fixtures from their stage control software but not the other way for safety reasons.
Tom
I have not used them for revolves, though may do in the near future, but they have built a fairly technical set for us in the past and we were very pleased with it.
mac.calder
I was just down in the machinary store for the new theatre that has just been built here in AU, and they just imported one from the revolving stage company - so I assume they must be exceptional quality, as I know there are places that make them here in AU.
