When equipment, dry hired on sub-contract by the main contractor for an event fails, who is responsible for solving the problems?

 

How can an event organiser ensure that they do not get caught in the middle of an "it's not my problem" argument while their event is running?

 

Has anyone experienced a problem like this, what solutions have you found?

The main contractor.

 

The decision to sub/dry hire was his; the organiser only has a contract with him.
