mogcamper
I want to make a stage from Tri-lite with white material attached. I intend to backlight this with LED PAR64 colour changers. What type of material do people recommend and big can I get it in one piece? Thanks

niclights
One material that was not mentioned in that thread is Rip-Stop nylon. This is one of my personal favourites. This is the material used for kites and modern tents. As the name suggests it is very strong and will not tear. As such you can pull it tight to get it nice & flat - eyelets, double stitch hem + bungees and because of this you don't have to worry too much about rolling it up/folding etc. - it will always pull out flat! It is incredibly light. As far as I can remember it is IFR and is available with various coatings making it waterproof etc. Of course it's not cheap and there were few people who could supply when I last ordered, but it will last a long time.
