leesm
Hi, I am doing a play and the director has asked for a real 1980's mobile phone. To have been around Between the time of 1981 - 1985. Any ideas where I might be able to get one? If cant find one will have to make it!! Any ideas on research!?? I have looked on internet and found info bout Bell telecom, who produced mobiles at the time. I have found info on a Ericsson from 1987 but would like one from a little earlier. Any help would be great.

James C
I've found the networks more helpful than manufacturers when obtaining phones (though I've never tried to obtain 80's bricks) - I suggest hitting 02 (cellnet of old) and vodafone's PR departments, offer them untold advertising in your programme, charm them like nobody's business and if they can't help directly, then plead for them do pressure motorola on your behalf. Good Luck!
