  1. ?Multiplay?? Google only tells me about games hosting. Am I missing something? I'm the author of MultiPlay the cue player software. The URL is https://www.da-share.com/software/multiplay/
  2. LED tape will fail so having the whole thing encapsulated will render the digit useless and non repairable. Using WS28xx pixel may be easy for the data flow, but one dead pixel can kill everything downstream from it. I strongly recommend you look at high brightness oval LEDs and make up digit circuit boards. Use shift register output drivers and ribbon cables to link the digits. With separate LEDs you can make each segment a string for higher voltage and less current. There's a reason nobody uses LED strip for scoreboards. :)
  3. Feel free to join the MultiPlay forum that I created earlier this year. I have a beta version available for those that want to test and give feedback.
  4. I just realised that I don't think I ever announced my da_Soundscape software on this forum. It's meant for playing a bunch of audio clips in a random manner to build up a "live" soundscape. There are 4 layers and each has it's own list of files and can output to a different sound card and apply reverb if wanted. Probably not much use in a theatre application, but maybe good for a Halloween or Christmas event?
  5. I have no direct experience with controlling mixers sorry. I'm sure someone else here will know.
  6. If you arrange the relays to shunt the insert point to ground via a T junction of 1K resistors I'm pretty sure you'd be fine. The channel would work normally until the relay's N/O contact closes at which point the channel would be muted.
  7. I was proposing using the insert points on the desk to do the muting. It sounds like you'll need help from a local audio person with this.
  8. I know what you mean and will keep in mind for a future feature.
  9. Another way is maybe a MIDI controlled set of relays that can interrupt the signal at the insert points on the desk ?
  10. Thanks Simon. Work is progressing on version 3. Improvements and bug squashing is happening daily!
  11. Ah... I kept forgetting to look at the one I bought, but I think it's the older version of the one linked.
  12. I ended up making a more generic Network Cue that can do OSC, Telnet or plain UDP messages. Each cue can have one or more messages. Feel free to join the MultiPlay forum if you'd like to keep up to date. :)
  13. I bought a USB audio interface with 2 inputs and 2 outputs with BNC connectors. It's used for testing frequency response, etc with some software that wasn't too expensive. I can't recall the brand / model off the top of my head but can check at work later today.
  14. Drag and drop works correctly in the upcoming MultiPlay 3 release. It will also play a wide variety of audio file types.
  15. Lots more code has been written, new features added and bugs fixed. Hoping to have a beta release ready soon. :) I'm always looking for input / feedback on existing and future features.
  16. Not only did I look into it, I implemented it today! There's a video of it in action on my YouTube channel. :)
  17. I've had a play with word wrapping and auto row height and have now added a checkbox to the General Configuration called "Grid Auto Row Height". It's mostly working now. Feel free to join the MultiPlay forum and let me know of more ideas. :)
  18. I did just find a bug in MultiPlay 2.5.5.0 that caused the "one file out of order" issue when you added multiple files to an empty cue list. That is fixed in version 3. Like you, I do find that the open dialog results are always sorted (per the current sort method), even if you select them in non sequential order.
  19. As far as I know any window can already be floated in MultiPlay. Resizing doesn't currently occur for any controls however. I'd have to look into how feasible that is.
  20. The file select oddity has always been there. It's partly to do with the way the Windows open dialog works. Not sure if the locked rows in the cue list would be possible. Maybe a general production notes window would do? I think someone asked me about a shortcut list that could be shown somewhere a while back. I'll have a look at how hard it would be to make the cue list rows auto size (height) when the text doesn't fit.
  21. I make a device that takes 100V line input and gives a transformer isolated line (or mic) level output. It's a shame you're not in Australia as we sell it for AUD $75.
  22. That sounds possible. The result would only make sense if all of those cues played one after the other. I'll create a thread in the MultiPlay forum to discuss.
  23. After some experimenting I've decided to leave playlst cues separate from audio cues. I am looking into the crossfade function for playlists though. Hmmm... that could be tricky. I'll have to ponder on that one. I've just implemented a full screen mode that's toggled by the F11 key. Feature discussion is starting to happen in the new MultiPlay forum. I've also put some short videos up on my YouTube channel.
  24. That would have required sending messages to 9 different IP addresses ?
  25. My da_Tester software can talk to USB DMX dongles or output E1.31 / DDP streams. I originally wrote it for the Christmas lights community, but it suits any DMX system.
