Prompted by the "Check your batteries" posting I dug out my 2 old GSX consoles.
Both their batteries looked clean and shiny.
The 50 channel one booted up OK but the 125 channel one wouldn't boot, displayed various hardware errors.
I believe all the software/ licence etc are stored on the Rom.
So can I just swap the roms to get a working 125 channel console?

.... despite power going to the sockets (caretaker, a trained electrician tested them). We have tested different lights in the sockets.....
How did he test the hardwired sockets to determine that there was power going to them?
If there was power going to them then when a light was plugged in it should work.

A quick google suggests that far-UV light might be quite effective in killing airborne bacteria and viruses. Apparently it’s quite harmless to people because far-UV cannot penetrate human skin or eyes.
Have a look at Big Clive's video:-

Hello, does anyone know anyone who can unlock the channels from the Stand GSX console? Mr. Peters from Strand Service in the United States is no longer with Philips.
Best regards
I have replied to your PM to me.

.. Yes exercise is vital, that's why it is allowed. ..
You are lucky.
Here in Spain, it is a total lockdown.
Can only go out, on your own, to buy food or medicines.
I live outside a town so I can have a walk outside my house as nobody is near me to see me.
Feel sorry for those who live in apartment blocks that are very common in towns.
No outside space except for very small terraces.
Must drive them mad being shut in with small kids who want to go outside to play as most apartment blocks have a kids playground attached.

As an am-dram practitioner who has to fund the cost of the equipment, then it is whatever I can afford to buy.
Got a mixture of tungsten and LED.

Same here. Hope I get my money back as certainly can't afford a compatible sound card as well.

He said, "I need to find an adapter to convert its control output (8 pin din) to 5 pin DMX."
Surely it was a mistake and he should have said "input"?
The output is sort of mains voltage.

Don’t use a book to learn how to program an arduino....
The in built tuition sketches will have you up and running in no time;
Obviously I am missing something but where do I find the "in built tuition sketches" ?

Can't most DMX fixtures be run in stand alone mode where you can select, say red @ full, and when it is powered on it comes on with red at full?
